About Our Father

When Dad passed, Beth was 10, Nicholas was 8 and Kevin just turned 7 and Mom was 7 months pregnant with Christopher. (5 years before our sister Rebecca passed at 27 days old)

While our world was shattered, we also had so many relatives supporting us. We never felt like we were "without". Yes Dad was gone, but we had 50 Uncles (and just as many Aunts) not to mention 3 grandparents (at the time) who would NOT let us feel like we were without a father figure. While we lost one parent, we still had over 100 parental figures taking us to our baseball games, in the audience for our graduations, making sure we listen to our mom and just overall BEING THERE for us. (Even now 27 years later)

We want to take that love that we had and pay it forward.

Michael Anthony James Hoyt was born July 28th 1956 to Porter and Margaret (Fitzgerald) Hoyt. He was the 3rd oldest boy out of 15(?) children. We've met (Uncle and Aunt's respectively) Carlton Paul, John, (our Dad), Bill, Theresa, Fran, Margie, Marie, Joey and Dolly. He married our mom, Shellie, on September 16th 1978.

They met at Wawa :)

People tend to canonize loved ones who have past. I am not going to say he was perfect, but he was the perfect Dad and role model for us. We want his legacy to live on, and we want people to remember him in the good deeds we try to do in his memory.
